Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ Review • The best Android tablet so far

Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+

Over the last few years, competition in the field of Android tablets has decreased significantly, and Samsung is one of the few companies that regularly launches new models of these devices. Their new hope, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7+ is definitely the top of the range and we could say that this is the first Android tablet that has managed to surpass Apple’s counterparts.

So what makes it so successful? The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 + is optimized for both tablet and desktop experiences. It has a new One UI 2.5 user interface, as well as a DeX mode that allows you to work in a real desktop environment. When we add a large high-resolution screen, as well as the S-Pen, the latest Snapdragon chip, an optional 5G modem (available in some markets), a large battery, a dual camera and four quality speakers, we get a modern complete system that is completely autonomous and self-sufficient for most users.

Of course, there are a large number of accessories available that will make the work even easier. In addition to the pen, which is an integral part of the system, there is a regular cover, or a cover with a keyboard, Galaxy Buds Live headphones and some other accessories.

Samsung has decided to remove all doubts about the category of the device at first glance. The case is made of brushed aluminum, made in one piece, with straight edges, it looks extremely attractive and, more importantly, solid.

The screen diagonal is 12.4 inches and is based on AMOLED technology. The aspect ratio is 16:10 and the resolution is 2,800 x 1752 pixels. We can freely say that this is one of the best screens we have seen on tablets. This is confirmed by the refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a standard mode with a refresh rate of 60 Hz is also available. Otherwise, unlike most Samsung phones, choosing a higher refresh rate will not reduce the screen resolution. As icing on the cake, this screen also has HDR10 + support.

Around the screen is a small, completely symmetrical frame, and below the screen is a fingerprint sensor, which works quickly and accurately.

It is interesting that there are two cameras on the back, which is a real rarity in the world of tablets. The main camera has a resolution of 13 MP, with autofocus, while the secondary is ultra-wide and has a resolution of 5 MP. The front camera has a resolution of 8 MP and is hidden in a frame around the screen. In addition to the cameras, there is a place for the S-Pen on the back. It is an identical model as the Galaxy Note20 series, only larger in size. The pen has an integrated battery, which charges automatically when it is placed in its place, and it takes less than five minutes to charge it.

On the shorter side edges there are speakers (four pieces), a microphone and a USB-C port. The longer sides have, on one side (we will call it the bottom) – pins for the keyboard cover, while the other (top) side has buttons for power, volume control, another microphone and a microSD card slot.

The tablet currently implements Qualcomm’s most powerful chipset, the octa-core Snapdragon 865+, which exists in two variants – with or without 5G support. In terms of memory, variants are available with 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM and with 128 GB, 256 GB or 512 GB of data space. A 6 GB / 128 GB variant is currently available on our market.

A large tablet also requires a large battery. A 10,090 mAh battery is implemented here, which supports fast charging and comfortably provides all-day operation. We will also mention that the tablet is based on the Android 10 operating system, which is “enhanced” by the already mentioned One UI 2.5 user interface.
