Cambridge Audio has unveiled a new flagship DAC DacMagic 200M , which will replace the popular DacMagic Plus model in this position . The novelty is based on two ES9028Q2M Saber 32 chips from ESS Technology and is implemented in the “dual mono” concept.
The C 200M DAC is capable of processing PCM streams up to 32-bit / 768 kHz and DSD up to DSD512. In addition, Cambridge Audio introduced support for the MQA format for the first time in this model . The component is equipped with a wireless adapter, Bluetooth version 5.0 , which supports codecs aptX and AAC , for live music from portable gadgets, as well as a built-in headphone amplifier, working in class AB.
DAC Cambridge Audio DacMagic 200M offers three digital filters that influence the way musical material is presented . The switching arsenal includes two coaxial inputs on RCA connectors , two optical Toslinks and a USB-B port . For connection to an amplifier, both balanced switching on XLR connectors and unbalanced switching on RCA are provided .
The novelty is housed in a compact half-width metal case with a stylish aluminum bezel. The DacMagic 200M is available in dark silver. In Europe, the DAC will be available in February for 499 euros .
